How to approach cleaning vinyl records?

Anyone that has a classic music collection in its most normal form knows the significance of cleaning vinyl records. There are several disparate approaches to this job but I find that the best path is to get a product designed in particular for this sort of material. Cleaning vinyl records could appear like an easy task but it is important that you select the right product for the job.

I tried to use rubbing alcohol for the project but this approach left my discs pretty dry and I was scared that they might become brittle over a period of time. Rubbing alcohol has a drying effect on many surfaces and it might not be the very best choice for cleaning vinyl records. Rather than going this route I determined to try something additional delicate.

What may be more delicate than baby shampoo? The mixture I used for cleaning vinyl records was a particularly straightforward mix of baby shampoo and water. That is just about all there is to it. Just wipe and the job is done. This worked for awhile but I began to notice a slight build up and that made me pretty twitchy about using this approach. This is when I made a decision that cleaning vinyl records needed a pro grade product and I was out to find it.

Even though I was purchasing an antique cleaner of sorts, I made up my mind to begin to shop online for the right product.

I did not just find one product designed for cleaning vinyl records. I was dazzled to find out that there are lots of options to think about for this particular task. I am still in the procedure of determining whether I even wish to try more than one of these products for cleaning vinyl records.

The product I at first chose has done such a good job that I do not believe I want to shop any more. I am excited that I finally discovered something that works so well and I am even happier that I haven’t got to mess with stinky rubbing alcohol or baby shampoo mixtures when cleaning vinyl records.

My collection is in better condition than it’s been in years. I am happy that I chose to look for products really designed for cleaning vinyl records. I am also happy that corporations make such glorious cleaners for older materials. My records flicker and they sound better than before. The products used for cleaning vinyl records have actually done the job.
